CANADA EXPRESS ENTRY

The Canadian Express Entry program was devised in January 2015. This system is implemented to help facilitate some of the immigration programs, such as: Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades.

Provinces and Territories can also recruit candidates from the Express Entry pool to meet their local immigration needs.

Here is a brief description of how it functions: Qualified applicants, who wish to immigrate to Canada can formally express their interest in becoming a permanent resident under one of the designated categories, by creating an Express Entry Profile. Then, the applicants will be scored according to the program's point-based Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Their total score will determine the applicant’s rank within the pool. Applicants with the highest scores will be invited to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency on an expedited basis.

Some of the metrics of ranking are economic success, education, skills, work experience, language abilities, and a variety of other elements. Canadian employers can directly recruit from the Express Entry pool. Needless to say, a job offer can boost the overall ranking of the prospective applicants.

COME TO CANADA

The name Canada was coined by a Native Tribe known as the St. Lawrence Iroquoian. They used the word “Kanata,” which means "village" or "settlement". Indeed, Canada is a truly diverse village: A Beautiful Great Big Global Village!

In the past several decades, Canada has become the gathering place for People from every country on earth. A True Celebration of Individual Differences and Collective Harmony.

GEOGRAPHY

Although, Canada is sparsely populated, it is highly urbanized. About 82 per cent of its 2017 estimated 35.15 million people live in large and medium-sized cities. Its capital is Ottawa and its largest metropolitan areas are Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

HUMAN FOOTPRINT

It is believed that the first immigrants to Canada crossed the Bering Land Bridge from Siberia at least 15,000 years ago. In the past 100 years, an influx of people from four-corners of the world has turned Canada to one of the world's most ethnically diverse nations on earth. Its rich multicultural tapestry has also greatly contributed to its advanced social services and democracy: in addition to making its thriving economy the tenth-largest in the world.

Manitoba’s landmass covers 649,950 square kilometers (250,900 Square Miles) with a widely varied topography. Manitobans benefit from tight-knit communities, a stable labor market, and colossal natural wilderness.

Manitoba's economy relies heavily on agriculture, tourism, energy, and natural resources such as oil, mining, and forestry. Agriculture is vital to Manitoba’s economy. Around 12 percent of Canadian farmland is in Manitoba. The most common type of farm found in rural areas is cattle farming (34.6%), followed by assorted grains (19.0%) and oilseed (7.9%). Manitoba is the nation's largest producer of sunflower seed and dry beans, and one of the leading sources of potatoes. Manitoba's largest employers are government and government-funded institutions, including crown corporations and other service sectors, such as: hospitals and universities

Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is designed to speed up the Immigration Process for prospective applicants, who possess the skills and experience needed by the province, but cannot be filled by Canadian workers.

Skilled Worker Overseas

The Manitoba Skilled Worker overseas category uses a points-based system to assess candidates, who may be outside Canada. Applications are accepted from qualified skilled workers who can demonstrate a strong connection to the province through family or friends (Manitoba Support), past education or employment (Manitoba Experience), or by invitation of the MPNP (Manitoba Invitation), and who score a minimum of 60 points according to five eligibility factors: age, language proficiency, work experience, education and adaptability.

Business Stream (MPNP-B

Manitoba has created this stream for business people interested to immigrate to Manitoba. Farm Strategic Recruitment Initiative

Farm Strategic Recruitment Initiative (FSRI) rural economic initiative under the auspices of the MPNP for Business (MPNP-B). It allows foreign nationals with farm business experience and sufficient capital to immigrate to Manitoba, with the goal of operating a farm there

Morden Community Driven Immigration Initiative

The City of Morden offers a Community Driven Immigration Initiative designed to match the skill set of applicants with employers’ needs

Prince Edward Island is one of the three Maritime Provinces in Atlantic Canada. With a population of about 142,000 residents, PEI is the smallest Canadian province: both in land area and population. Prince Edward Island thrives on potato farming. No wonder, PEI is referred to as the "Garden of the Gulf." Its topography is filled with lush agricultural lands throughout the province.

PEI is also the "Birthplace of Confederation" or "Cradle of Confederation” in Canada. In fact, PEI is sometimes referred to as "the birthplace of Canada" because of the Charlottetown conference, which led to the country’s formation. The Island of Prince Edward Island is Connected to the Canadian Mainland via the stunning Confederation Bridge.

The main industries in PEI are agriculture, tourism and fishing. The manufacturing sector is mainly of food processing. Nonetheless, high-technology is becoming more and more important, especially in the medical, electronics and agricultural fields

Charlottetown is the provincial capital and largest city of Prince Edward Island. The population of Charlottetown is about 35,000 residents, which is a significant portion of the province's total population of 140,204.

Charlottetown is situated on the convergence point of three rivers in the central part of the island's south shore. The harbor opens onto the Northumberland Strait.

The PNP is Prince Edward Island’s Provincial Nominee Program. Through this program, qualified applicants with the skills and experience needed in PEI may receive a Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Certificate. This will allow the successful candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence Status, which has a much faster processing time than other Canadian Immigration Streams.

The PEI PNP accepts applications under three major immigration categories:

  • PEI PNP Express Entry
  • Labor Impact Category
  • Business Impact Category

PEI PNP Express Entry

Prince Edward Island is a participant in Express Entry program. Thus successful applicants may apply to the PEI PNP Express Entry Stream, which offers a processing time of six months or less. Of course the PEI PNP Express Entry candidates must meet all the necessary requirements set out by the province

Labor Impact Category

PEI accepts applications under Labor Impact Category this from qualified candidates who possess the skills and experience needed in the province’s labor market. However, this program is divided into two sub-categories:

Skilled Worker Stream

This sub-category is for qualified workers who have been nominated or hired by PEI employers. To qualify, the worker candidate must possess the mandated skills, relevant experience and at least a post-secondary degree or diploma.

Critical Worker Stream

This sub-category is for workers who have already been hired by a PEI employer, and whose employer would like to sponsor them for permanent residency. Eligible applicants can work in a semi-skilled or unskilled profession.

International Graduate Stream

This sub-category is for recent graduates from recognized accredited Prince Edward Island universities and colleges who have already been hired by a PEI employer. Business Impact Category

Prince Edward Island considers applications under this category from individuals who wish to invest in and actively manage a PEI business. This stream is divided into three sub-categories:

100% Ownership Stream

Under this sub-category, the candidate must take full ownership of a PEI business, either by starting a new business or purchasing an existing one.

Partial Ownership Stream

This sub-category is for individuals who will obtain at least 33.33 percent (one-third) of a PEI business, or invest $1,000,000 CAD in the equity of a business.

The name Northwest Territories (NT or NWT) is descriptive enough. However, it was adopted by the British Colonial Government for ease of geography. In Native Tribal Language of Inuktitut, the Northwest Territories are referred to as (Nunatsiaq), which means the "Beautiful Land.”

The land area of NWT is about 1,144,000 km2 (442,000 Square Miles). The population of this vast landmass is about 42,000, which makes it one of the least populated areas in Canada. NWT boasts acres upon acres of pristine forests and wilderness. This area’s economy exploits its vast geological resources, including gold, diamonds, natural gas, and petroleum.

Yellowknife is the capital city of the NWT. It is indeed a city of contrasting beauties. While its winters blanket yards of pure white snow everywhere, its summers are filled with blooming flowers of all sorts and dreamlike lush green sceneries.

Yellowknife has a population of about 20,000 residents, which it almost half of the entire population of NWT. Yellowknife is located on the shores of the Great Slave Lake, which is a major industrial hub for workers in the region and a scenic town with abundant recreational opportunities.

Through this program, prospective immigrants with the skills and experience needed by the Northwest Territories Provincial Nomination Certificate, which will allow that foreign national to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence, expedites processing times more than other Canadian immigration classes. The NTNP accepts applications under two immigration programs, each with their own set of stream:

  • InternaNorthwest Territories Express Entry
  • Employer Driven Program
  • Business Driven Program

In fact, in November of 2016, the Canadian Immigration Website got so many hits that it allegedly crashed.
